Verification Information: When requesting account verification, you may provide your full name, social media profiles, website, and a description of your work. This is used solely to verify your identity as a composer or publisher.

Ratings and Comments: We collect the ratings and comments you submit about publishers. Ratings are submitted anonymously and are not publicly linked to your identity.

Usage Data: We may collect basic server logs including IP addresses, browser type, and pages visited for security and analytics purposes.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain the Service
• To verify your identity as a composer or publisher
• To display aggregated, anonymous publisher ratings and reviews
• To send email notifications you have opted into (e.g., new reviews)
• To send account-related emails (password resets, verification status)

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties except:

• Service providers: We use InsForge for database hosting and Resend for email delivery. These providers process data on our behalf under their respective privacy policies.
• Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights.

Your ratings and approved comments are displayed publicly but are not linked to your name or email. Publisher profile information (name, bio, logo, website) is displayed publicly by choice of the publisher.

4. Data Security

Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and are never stored in plain text. Session data is stored in HTTP-only cookies. We use HTTPS for all data transmission.

5. Anonymity of Ratings

Ratings submitted through the platform are anonymous. Your identity is not revealed to publishers or other users in connection with your ratings or comments. The administrator may verify your identity during the verification process but will not disclose it to publishers.

6. Email Communications

We send transactional emails for account-related purposes (password resets, verification updates). Publisher accounts may opt into notification emails for new reviews. You can manage your email preferences from your dashboard.

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies to maintain your login session. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics cookies.

8. Data Retention

Account data is retained as long as your account is active. Ratings and comments are retained to maintain the integrity of publisher scores. You may request account deletion by contacting us.

9. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Withdraw consent for optional email notifications
